Standardized Test Preparation

I use these to help get used to filling in the dots, and get over test anxiety.   They can be used to 'level check' your child if you don't want actually take the standardized test.   I know many states require testing, and some on-line programs require them too.

I am on the fence with this one.  I DO NOT like teaching to the test, but I know the SATs are around the corner.  Taking standardized tests every year should reduce SAT stress, but increase yearly stress... I just don't have any good advice on this one other then my standard of....   ......   follow your heart.

Spectrum Test Practice helps children gain confidence by working with actual test questions and answer sheets. These are packed with great test taking tips.

Each book has a section of  sample tests questions with guided instructions and a section of comprehensive practice tests.

These correlate to state standards and standardized tests including TerrNo va CAT and CTBS.

If you would like your child to take a standardized test you can purchase them through Bob Jones University Press Testing Pages .    The Algebra Aptitude test seems like a great idea for before starting algebra.

You can administer your child some yourself (if you have a BA), others require a non-family member (with a BA) to administer the test.  Your local library will often do this for you.  The tests the offer are:
