Poetry Comes Alive! Homeschool Unit Study for Elementary Kids

The student writes a nursery rhyme and sets it to a tune, and the Psalms are sung as an example of poetry. The student is taught to collect, display, and interpret information using charts and graphs. The student learns about epilepsy and the poet who was affected by this disease. Illustrations are drawn to correspond with a given poem, and the student creates a fictional character following an artist’s style.
